The women of the Bible- Ruth, Esther, Deborah, Proverbs 31 woman, Mary, Elizabeth, etc- were all women of valiance! They lacked passivity. See, femininity is often looked down upon because the world has associated it with weakness. True femininity is anything but weak. It is valiant, brave, mysterious, and yet, breath-takingly beautiful! True femininity, which is God-created and God-given does not compete with masculinity, nor does it challenge masculinity. Instead, it compliments, supports, encourages, and strengthens masculinity! Dare I say it, femininity knows its place. Yes, women do have their place and so do men. When men encroach upon a woman’s place it is both awkward and unnatural. Same goes for when women encroach upon a man’s place. Under Jesus Christ’s lead, Masculinity & Femininity are the ultimate team! Oh, the amazing victories that can be won when the two work together under the divine coaching of Jesus Christ!
All of my passion for Christ can quickly become my downfall if I fail to remain in my feminine place. So, what is my feminine place? Feminists- you might want to cover your eyes for this part. My feminine place is a place of response rather than initiation. I am to allow men to lead.
“Oh, but Cait! Men don’t lead anymore! How are we supposed to just wait around for them? If they won’t step it up, then we have to!”
That is a common and seemingly valid point. But, circumstances do not dictate a God-ordained order. God is still in control. Here is what valiant, Christ-consumed, truly feminine women can do for the complacent men: Respect them, wait (patiently) for them to lead, pray for them, encourage their masculinity, applaud their godly attributes, and sweetly reprimand their worldly attributes. Most importantly, a truly feminine woman can pursue Christ with all of the passion she has so that He will make her the woman that she was created to be! Her femininity will stir up the souls of men and cause them to desire and pursue Christ for the heroic masculinity that only He can provide!
Gentlemen, Jesus wants you! There is spiritual warfare all around us. Satan is going down and he is dragging down with him as many souls as he possibly can! Jesus Christ died and rose again to save us from that doom. You have a choice in the role you will play in this war: you can either be a warrior on Christ’s mighty side or you can passively fight for your own self and in turn, Satan. Let’s face it, the latter is a futile effort. You cannot be His warrior on your own. No amount of desire or passion for it is going to make you that masculine hero. Submitting to Him, allowing Him to take over your entire being and fight through you is the only way to be His warrior!
Please, please do not hesitate to surrender yourself to Him! I am tired of waiting for men to embrace Christ and fight for Him! While I won’t try to take your place, I am aware of the missing half to the ultimate team that I passionately yearn to be on. Please, gentlemen, rise to the challenge! With Christ you can! Lead this generation and the generations to follow! Allow Christ to use you as His instrument to lead others to Him! Give them an example of what a masculine warrior for Christ is! Christ is your example and even more, He is your source of strength and capability! In Him, you lack nothing! Don’t hold back one more second! He has given you His Word as your Sword. Allow Him to train you in it. It is Truth and all other claims are measured against it! Never forget that!
Dear gentlemen, know that when you surrender to Christ and become His mighty warrior, you will not fight alone. We feminine women will be there to support you, cheer you on, respond to your initiation, follow your lead, and be your ultimate team mate! We wait for you, as does Christ!
Jesus wants real men! And you know what? I want one too!

Okay so seriously, Cait, you kicked that out of the park. That was absolutely so right on and I am so inspired and encouraged by your heart for the Lord. You are right, men need to step up and lead. We will follow their lead and we WILL cheer them on... be their team mate. It's incredible the way you put that.
I do believe that you are right in saying that as women of the Lord we need to be patient and wait for them to step up to the plate rather than take the lead instead.
It may not be what's "fair" but Jesus dying on the cross for us wasn't fair either. It doesn't have to be fair.
It's what's right. It's what we've been called to do and I thank you for presenting it in such a way.
Right on, girl!
WOOOOO...you go girl! What great words of affirmation and encouragement for those men out there. :) Love you!
DITTOS!
What a writing and FAITH gift you have!
Love, Aunt LJMD
