A Deeper Kind of Beauty

I am longing for a deeper kind of beauty

The kind that will never fade away

Daily, my inadequacies haunt me

As I see the standards I can’t seem to meet

Then my Savior sweetly reminds me

Of the beauty that only He can give

It is found when I humbly die for Him

And through me, allow Him to live

“My girl,” He says “Don’t call those young men to you.

Nothing you do will ever be enough.

Use your heart to push them further towards me.

Trust me and my awesome love.”

So I gladly lay all my hopes before Him

I commit to doing all things His way

May all the glory be given to Him

As He removes my selfish desires like a wave

Yes, I am longing for a deeper kind of beauty

And through Him this beauty will always remain
