Lord,
Please make me like the waters, the flowers, and the trees,
The blades of grass in summer, and the dew in early spring.
Each one of these is for You, by You, and complete;
Reflecting Your great beauty without a selfish plea.
In peace or in great trial, creation waits on You
Allowing Your desires in them to be made true.
They serve You by existing as You designed them to;
They worry not for tomorrow, but praise You now, anew.
Oh, make me surrendered like them with just one purpose in mind-
To abide in my Creator, my soul fully Thine.
Amen.
