Good Morning!

"Let me hear Your lovingkindness in the morning; For I trust in You; Teach me the way in which I should walk; For to You I lift up my soul." - Psalm 143:8

"In the morning, O Lord, You will hear my voice; In the morning I will order my prayer to You and eagerly watch." - Psalm 5:3

Goodness, I LOVE mornings!

It's Sunday morning, 8:00 to be exact, and I am working. A couple rented my church for their wedding and I'm here to let them in and help out if they need me. When my alarm went off this morning I was not thrilled to be waking up at 6:00 on a Sunday morning. But, work beckoned so I got up and at 'em! Donning high heels and my favorite sweater, I packed my purse with my Bible and a few books and set off for Starbucks! For once I splurged on a venti Caramel Macchiato. *smile*

As I drove away from the friendly baristas, Big Daddy Weave came on the radio singing "Audience of One." *sigh* Quickly I remembered why I am here - to serve Him for His glory and His applause alone! About that time the sun was just waking up and the shades of blue, orange, and pink inspired me to smile with perfect peace.

Jesus didn't stop there!

Soon I arrived at the church and after waiting for the song to finish, I grabbed my purse and stepped out of my comfy, warm truck into the cool, crisp, and inviting morning! That's when I heard the birds. They were singing their beautiful song. Once again, I smiled. Oh, how I longed to remain in that moment forever - staring at the morning sky, listening to the loveliest melody, and feeling so small in the midst of it all! Witnessing God's creation worshipping Him by doing what He created it to do is too enchanting for mere words to explain!

Of course I can't remain in that moment forever. The morning will soon change into noon, the birds will soon go about their day, and I must fulfill my responsibilities as well. However, just because that moment of peace and joy cannot last forever does not mean that the gifts of peace and joy have to leave.

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit." - Galatians 5:22-25

The morning awakens me to the Lord's presence, but His Spirit fills me with His fruit. The morning may change, but His Spirit does not and thus, His peace and joy remain in me as I walk throughout the day with Him.

Jesus, today I choose to be Yours. I submit to Your will for today and delight in doing what You created me to do. Like the rest of Your creation, I glorify You!

Have an inspired morning, dear reader, and a fruitful day!

Love you girl! I love, "The morning awakens me to the Lord's presence, but His Spirit fills me with His fruit. The morning may change, but His Spirit does not and thus, His peace and joy remain in me as I walk throughout the day with Him."
I pray that you remember this paragraph that you have written for years to come. That no matter what occurs He never changes. He always stays the same.
