Time, we assume, will be in our favor.
Secrets we keep, to be shared tomorrow;
Fears we obey, though they bring sorrow.
Busy we are, too busy for honor.
What are we missing and what do we gain
From life lived so quickly and so in vain?
Let’s not look forward only to look back.
Let’s embrace this moment, with sanctity intact.
Pray for guidance to say what needs expression.
Pray to be used for His glory and blessing.
Treat every moment as an opportunity to be tender;
And to the Lord, your heart fully render.
For life as we know it is brief, like frost,
So spend it wisely before it is lost.
